For 45 years, we have run safe PuppyLove classes with friendly people and safely-screened pups -- no infection issues & friendly, safer pups as a result! 

Our own pups start our group class at 8 weeks old. Veterinary universities & dog trainers worldwide now safely offer positive puppy classes for pups as young as 7 weeks old. 

Gentle, effective, positive dog training takes advantage of this fastest learning time in a dog's life, and prevents future behavior issues, shyness & aggression by providing great interaction with friendly people and safely-screened dogs at this perfect time in a pup's mental development.

Our open-enrollment system means you can start this week! Jump into beginner levels with an orientation class (one of three different times each week) for PuppyLove of Basic Manners. Have an advanced dog and handler team? You can come by the day or by the month for our small-groupadvanced sessions or get private help, or move to those levels earlier if you do start with PuppyLove or Basic Manners. 

We offer barter opportunities so you can trade classes for your skills or items we need - projects needing help underway right now!. Or purchase those things we need (talk to us first, of course, to confirm what we need, like gravel, plywood, yard tools, for instance) to cut your price in half! We give you double what you spend in credit toward your class cost just for saving us a shopping trip.

For extremely shy, nervous, possessive, bossy, territorial, protective or territorial dogs, offered only at one of our sites

Gentle methods are the most effective way to help your dog with social issues. Getting them off their home terrains produces faster results since they have no emotional attachment to our spaces.

We do not have to see your dog's rude or fearful displays -- we believe you. We truly know how bad it can get. It is best if he never feels the need to do that again. You can start the changes now.

     Experienced dog trainers & seasoned dogs may join competition/advanced sessions with friendly dogs when class space permits (dog owners who have never earned titles in any dog venue usually need some background help or introduction to positive dog training first). 

     Best Paw Forward Inc.'s PuppyLove & Basic Manners series are set up so dogs that have more advanced skills can quickly move into our monthly advanced levels as part of their initial training package.  Private classes also available

If you follow our guidelines, dogs training in our programs start showing improvement immediately. The length of time it takes to train a dog depends on a variety of factors, particularly the dog's age, which is why we recommend pups start our PuppyLove sessions at 8 weeks, which is often as soon as they come home with you from a breeder.

Of course rescue or rehomed dogs or others that are older do well also but sometimes have learned some unwanted behaviors. We have lots of tips on how to prevent problems & mistakes as they start to improve quickly using gentle tools and prevention plans. 

 Class under cover or moves indoors when it rains.  Our small-by-design classes go inside our home on the property if rain breaks up the fun. Pups get real-life housetraining!  Is is also a big bonus that our rural location is usually 5-10 degrees cooler than in town!

We have a generous makeup/drop-in policy to allow catching up if you miss a session once you begin classes. there is a $75 charge for orientation, a 90-minute or longer Week 1 class for beginners, that is already included in the total price you see for either PuppyLove or Basic Manners. 

You can pay for advanced classes by the day or by the month (plus we offer barter or work study options so all can afford our experienced, gentle programs).
